Venturi events in England : May 2007

Mai 2007 est l'occasion de deux événements intéressants pour le petit groupe de Venturistes que nous sommes :
Premièrement le GT90’s Revival Series du 4 au 6 mai 2007.
Deuxièmement, La Vie en Bleu du 26 au 27 mai 2007.
Tout d'abord le GT90’s Revival Series, le week-end du 4 au 6 mai sur le circuit de Silverstone qui sera le théâtre de l'une des deux uniques manches de la saison, avec l'avantage certain d'y admirer des Venturi en compétition puisque Paul Cope possesseur d'une Venturi 600 Lm et d'une 400 GTR y est engagé avec le team “Pro-Tran Competition” .
Paul Cope a déjà exprimé au combien il souhaitait voir des passionnés de Venturi sur cette course qui selon les organisateurs devrait accueillir bien d'autres Venturi.
J'espère moi-même (PaulC) assister à cette course et rencontrer Paul Cope et son équipe, et saisir ainsi l'unique opportunité de voir en compétition des Venturi en Angleterre cette année... J'espère aussi que ça pourrait être l'occasion de se rencontrer ici en Angleterre autour d'un événement vraiment sympa.

Les GT90’s series prendront place dans le cadre du FIA GT Championship.
Concernant les prix, il faut compter entre 15 et 25£ pour les places selon les jours...

En effet, Martin John Guard, actuel propriétaire d'une Atlantique 300 m'a fait découvrir cet événement qui pourrait aussi être l'occasion d'une rencontre...
Grâce aux connections entre le Club des propriétaires de Bugatti de Prescott (organisateur de l'événement) et le Club Alpine Renault dont Martin fait parti, nous disposons de quelques détails sur l'organisation ...
La Vie en Bleu se déroule donc du 26 au 27 mai 2007
Les prix par personnes sont les suivants :
Samedi : 12£ ou 10£ sur réservation
Dimanche : 15£ ou 12£ sur réservation
Week-end Complet ! 20£ sur réservation
Un camping est disponible sur le site avec douches et toilettes. Prévoir entre 7 et 10£ par nuit.
Hotels et Bed & Breakfast sont aussi possible pour ceux qui préfèrent...
Si nous avons suffisamment de Venturi présentes, nous pourrions ainsi obtenir un espace de présentation dans le coin Français. Nous ferions alors notre maximum pour obtenir un bel espace (Enseigne, etc...) et toutes aides dans ce sens seraient la bienvenue...

See the following for two events that may be of interest to our fledgling group.
1. GT90’s Revival Series: 4th to 6th May 2007.
2. La Vie en Bleu: 26th to 27th May 2007.
GT90’s Revival Series
This year will see only two rounds, but next year a full series is planned. This year the events will be Silverstone (04/05/07 – 06/05/07), and Hockenheim in October.
A member of our group Paul Cope, runs a race team called “Pro-Tran Competition” and they have two racing Venturi’s (600LM & 400GTR), Pro-Tran will be campaigning the Venturi’s in the above series. Paul has already expressed how much he would like to see us at the racing, and says that the organisers state other Venturi should be racing. I hope to attend the weekend and meet up with Paul and his team, and take advantage of the only opportunity to see Venturi Racing in the U.K. this year. See the link below:

The GT90’s series is being run as part of the supporting races to the FIA GT Championship, so a full weekend of racing will be taking place.
Prices are:
Advanced for the weekend: £20.00
Saturday on the gate: £15.00
Sunday on the gate: £25.00
Children under 16: FREE
See the pdf for the weekends timetable. Please make your own arrangements and then contact me to let me know you are coming, then I will know the numbers and will arrange an RV point to complete the journey in convoy.

Martin Guard a fellow owner (Atlantique 300) has brought to my attention an event that seems perfect for us to attend as a group!!
Martin has been a member of Club Alpine Renault for sometime and through this connection we have details of the Prescott/Bugatti Owners Club's. French weekend on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of May 2007. See below link:

We have been given the following prices per person for the event:
Saturday: £12.00 on the gate, (£10.00 advance purchase)
Sunday: £15.00 on the gate, (£12.00 advance purchase)
Weekend: £20.00. advance purchase.
Prices quoted are per person.
Camping is available; there are toilets and a shower on site; Prescott may organise the camping in an adjacent field due to the number of visitors that we expect. Cost may vary somewhat, normally £7 per tent per night and £10 per caravan or motorhome per night [ I will confirm costs shortly]
Hotels and local Bed & Breakfast establishments may well be available to those who do not wish to camp.
If we have enough cars in attendance with the owners intending to display them, we will be given a “club” stand in the French Quarter. We will do our best to acquire signs etc. and any help in this direction would be appreciated.
